Chaise bench – chaise bench lounges, sometimes called “fainting chairs,” is interesting shaped bedroom and living room furniture. They generally have a length corresponding to a sofa, but more similar to the shape of a crowded chair and stool. Ideas for reupholster a chaise bench, remove your previous pieces of fabric, section by section. Replace frame work, batting or padding foam as needed. Before using your new material, make sure your chair is stuffed and shapely. Use spray adhesive to keep your foam to the frame of the chair as needed. Apply a second coat of spray adhesive to the top of the foam to hold your cotton batting in place before stapling your batting to the frame.

Ideas for reupholster a chaise bench drape a piece of muslin cloth over the area you want to restore. This step is only necessary if you were not able to keep your previous pieces of fabric. Trace out the shape of the area you want to re -cover. Fold your muslin vertically to check for symmetry. Add muslin or original fabric templates of your new upholstery. Trace around the templates directly on the upholstery, or pin in place with straight pins. Cut along your pattern to create your fabric pieces. Position your fabric over the area you want to re -cover. Pull your fabric stretched over to the underside of your chaise bench. Corte your fabric pieces directly to the underside of the wooden frame. If your chaise bench has no curved edges, move your fabric over inch by inch, as you staple it in place. If your fabric is thick, you may need to shorten the vertical slots in the corner of the material to help it sit properly.
